Hellsgate Day Trip -Spotting Wildlife in a Unique Landscape observing herds of zebras and antelopes grazing on the plains, contrasting beautifully with the dramatic volcanic backdrop.

Early Morning (6:00 AM – 8:30 AM)
Wake up early and get ready for your adventure.  Enjoy a light breakfast at your hotel or pack some Lunch/snacks for the ride. Your driver will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM.
It’s about a 2-hour drive to Hell’s Gate National Park, so relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.  The drive takes you along the Great Rift Valley, one of the most amazing natural features on Earth.
There’s a good chance you’ll see some wildlife on your drive, such as baboons, zebras, giraffes, and antelopes.

Morning (8:30 AM – 1:00 PM)

When you arrive at Hell’s Gate National Park, you’ll purchase your entrance fees and decide on your mode of transportation for exploring the park.

One of the unique things about Hell’s Gate National Park is that you’re allowed to walk or bike inside the park.This gives you a chance to get up close to the wildlife and really experience the park’s scenery.

If you choose to bike, you can rent one from outside the park entrance. The cycling path is an easy 7km route that takes you through the park’s gorges and past some of its most popular attractions.

If you prefer to walk, there are a number of trails to choose from, ranging from easy to challenging. W have a professional guide to guide you.

Some of the highlights of Hell’s Gate National Park include:

The Fischer’s Tower, a volcanic plug that provides stunning views of the park

The Lion’s Gate, a narrow gorge that was created by volcanic activity

The Central Tower, another volcanic plug that is home to a variety of birds

The obsidian flow, a large area of black volcanic glass

Around midday, you can stop for a picnic lunch at one of the park’s designated picnic areas.

There are several picnic areas to choose from, all with stunning views of the park.

Afternoon (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

In the afternoon, you can continue exploring the park on foot or by bike, or you can head to nearby Lake Naivasha for a boat ride.

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake that is home to a variety of hippos, birds, and other wildlife.

A boat ride on the lake is a great way to relax and see some of the park’s wildlife from a different perspective.

After your boat ride, you can head back to Nairobi or spend some time relaxing at the lake shore.

Late Afternoon (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM)

The drive back to Nairobi takes about 2 hours, so sit back, relax, and reflect on your amazing day in Hell’s Gate National Park.

*It’s important to wear sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable shoes.

*You’ll also want to bring plenty of water, as it can get hot and sweaty in the park.
